Year 7 School Council Pitch Day at City Hall
Year 7 School Council Pitch Day at City Hall
On Wednesday 18th December 2019, the Year 7 School Council won £1,500 to be spent on their ‘Lives Without Knives’ project, which they pitched at City Hall weeks earlier. The students applied to the Team London Young Ambassadors and the Violence Reduction Unit Youth Action Grant. The Project, which is aimed at Year 5 and Year 6 students in the community, will feature a Workshop to educate children about the dangers surrounding knife-crime.
Shone Romulus, star of TV show Top Boy, will also help to create an accompanying short film.
This Project falls under the school’s Erasmus Community Cohesion project which aims to take action on youth violence.
We are incredibly proud of the Year 7 Student Council for its hard work and determination in bringing this project to fruition.
Big thanks also to the Crib Project and the WE charity for their support and for helping to make this happen.
