Year 7 students create comic books at       Ministry of Stories

On Thursday 29th January, 24 Year 7 students took part in comic books workshop at the Ministry of Stories in Hoxton Street.  It was a fascinating workshop whereby students were each given a booklet titled 'Comics.... And How To Make Them’ and taken through the process of making their own comic book, by a professional illustrator. They had great fun with quick timed exercises - starting with simple lines or shapes and creating an image of their character in a couple of minutes or even seconds. Students were then given more time to develop their character, to tell the character's story using images, speech bubbles and thought clouds. By the end of the session, each student had created his or her own comic book. A marvellous experience.
