Year 8 Tower Hamlets Football Cup
On Wednesday 11th March it was Year 8’s turn to compete in the Tower Hamlets Football Tournament. The boys applied themselves well throughout the day and came back from losing the first two group games to win the final two, therefore qualifying for the Plate Competition.
We were drawn against Bishop Challoner in the Plate Semi-final and, after a very close game (and a dubious disallowed goal) Bishop Challoner came out on top 1-0.
It was then down to the third/fourth place play off between Bow and Stepney Green and, after a tense 0-0 game, it went to penalties. I am pleased to say we prevailed 3-1!
