Year 9 Football

The Year 9 students went into their Tower Hamlets football with an air of expectation, having won the competition for the last 2 years.  Unfortunately, there was a transportation disaster and we turned up late and were put straight into action off the bus.  The boys were cold and we lost our first group game.

There was now a lot of pressure on the boys to get into the semi-finals by finishing in the top 2 of the group.  It did not go our way with 2 wins, 1 draw and a loss. We eventually finished 3rd in the group.  The boys were understandably disappointed but showed great resilience to win the 5th/6th place play-off against Swanlea.

The boys showed great levels of maturity throughout the day, leading their own warm up and team talks!

Hopefully the boys will come back stronger next year.
