Year 9 Geography Field Trip to Dorset
Year 9 geography students went on a field trip to Dorset on the 3rd and 4th of May 2018 to study geology and coastal landforms. As part of the fieldwork they covered both discordant and concordant coastlines and studied the formation of varied landforms - Headlands and Bays at Old Harry rocks and Swanage Bay; Arch and Cove at Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. The students walked along the heritage coastal paths and enjoyed the breath-taking views.
A trip to Corfe Castle and the National Trust shop was the icing on the cake!
They stayed at the Youth Hostel in Swanage overnight.
