Swashbuckling 'VAMPIRATES' Author Justin Somper Stormed Bow!

Accompanied by several Year 8s disguised as pirates and brandishing cutlasses JUSTIN SOMPER boarded the good ship Bow to give a thrilling talk to the whole year group about the bloodthirsty world of vampire pirates he has created in the VAMPIRATES series of books!

He started by singing the Vampirate’s Shanty before going on to talk in depth about the characters and plots.

Justin also read some extracts to whet our appetite and then answered some of the student’s questions.

As well as the students Ms McMahon was particularly enthralled as she admitted she has recently become hooked on the books!

Finally it was time for Ms McMahon to announce which students had been particularly successful in the preparation activity and would win a FREE BOOK!

There were also books for students to buy and Justin was happy to sign them all!
