The Start of Something Great!
On Thursday 10th November Miss Davies took 14 students in Year 8 to Rothschild Bank for their launch of the Rothschild Mentoring Programme. After enjoying drinks and biscuits in one of the conference rooms, the students were taken around the brand new office to visit the different floors, state of the art gym and to gain a sneak preview at the Executive Floor which boasts panoramic views of London’s skyline. They then had the opportunity to meet their mentors for the first time and get to know them as well as getting an introduction to the Rothschild Mentoring Programme which has now been running at Bow for three years. The mentors will meet with the boys every half term from now until they leave the school, to discuss their academic progress as well as their aspirations for the future and the programme will include trips to universities, workplaces and presentation skills competitions at Rothschild Bank.
The boys left feeling really positive about invaluable opportunities which being part of such a programme would offer and would like to thank all of their mentors for the time which they have offered to give up to support them throughout their time at Bow School and Caroline Pyke for the support and time that she has given in setting this up.
