World Famous Author Pete Johnson Works With Bow Students!

World famous author Pete Johnson whose books are read all over the world in many different languages came to Bow to work in our Library with Year 8 students on ‘STARTING A STORY’.

It was great fun and really made the students think about different ways to start a story, introduce characters and capture the reader’s attention.

Pete then did a second session for the Year 7 and 8 READING CHAMPIONS where he talked more generally about all his different books and writing especially his new vampire books VAMPIRE BLOG and VAMPIRE HUNTERS.

He told us how he likes to try all different genres and levels of writing from quite simple funny stories to the more sinister scary stuff. He also told us about all the different languages his books have been translated into and showed us some copies.

At the end of the session all the Reading Champions got to choose one of Pete’s books to get signed.
